So once upon a time, the largest newspaper in my state posted a full-page transphobic ad in light of the Minnesota State High School League considering a decision taking place on October 1-2 that would allow for transgender students to play in high school athletics based on their gender identity and immediately lost any respect I may have had for them.
The ad was paid for by a group that calls themselves the Minnesota Child Protection League, and along with associating with personalities like Michele Bachmann and Matt Barber liken LGBTQIA+ acceptance to the predatory behavior of pedophiles and pornography:

There’s two days before the decision, and I’ve gathered a few links for folks to do as they will:
If you like to scream at or reason with the equivalent of a brick wall, here’s the contact page of the Child Protection League’s website (Includes a mailing address)
Also, one for their facebook page.
If you’d like to call out the Star Tribune for broadcasting transphobia to the masses in the hopes of pressuring them into issuing some kind of a formal apology:Star Tribune online contact formContact info for Advertisement SalesContact info for Rene Sanchez, Editor & Vice PresidentContact info for all senior management
Or, if you’d like to be positive and show your support for transgender people to the Minnesota State High School League, here is the contact info for the administrative board.

Random Fact: According to the Justice Department and the Pentagon 26,000 rapes took place within the American Military in 2013 alone. To place this mind boggling, human rights violating occurrence into perspective. That is on average 70 sexual assaults PER DAY, and 3 sexual assaults PER HOUR. THIS IS THE FUCKING AMERICAN MILITARY WE ARE TALKING ABOUT!
